Description
This comedy stars Jimmy Stewart as a struggling music store owner who befriends a family of struggling musicians, helps them win a radio contest and, in the process, wins the love of their daughter. Inspired by the phenomenal success of Horace Heidt’s first ever talent search radio shows, the great-grandfather of today’s American Idol and it’s imitators. This film was released immediately on the heels of Stewart’s first Oscar win for The Philadelphia Story.
